Churches Serving Together to Fulfill the Great Commission

Collegiate Ministry

Baptist Collegiate Ministry

In the past the Baptist Collegiate Ministry sponsored BLAST (Believers Leaning and Serving Together) at Okaloosa Walton College. BLAST exists to provide opportunities for students to participate in Christian missions, evangelism, and service projects as well as to promote personal growth and development of believers and encourage active participation in local churches.

In 2006 a new organization was begun at OWC. CAF (Christian Apologetics Fellowship) is an independent non-denominational Christian student organization that exists to promote Christian fellowship and growth on the OWC campus and to equip students to defend and explain the Christian faith. These two organizations are partnering together to minister to the OWC community.

The BCM is even more active this Fall with weekly prayer at the flag pole, a Bible study on Tuesdays, a worship and teaching meeting Wednesday and another one on Thursday. The first Thursday of the month we do a big service in the K-Mall with a band and guest speakers. The prayer and bereavement team has been very active with cards, visits, and prayers for hurting faculty and students. We had a spiritual interest survey during the first two weeks of school which opened the door to many spiritual conversations. For more information about this ministry e-mail Sara or Joy at CAF@owc.edu.
